Important Concepts:

Indomitable Spirit (respond with any of the following):

  • To never, ever allow yourself to be defeated when things go against you, ma’am/sir!

  • It means to have the will to overcome failure, ma’am/sir!

  • Provide examples of indomitable spirit.

Explain how you show that you are confident.

  • Confidence is a strong belief in your abilities and potential for success. It enables you to tackle challenges with a positive mindset, make decisions with conviction, and persevere in the face of obstacles. Having confidence means trusting yourself and your capabilities to achieve your goals and aspirations.

  • KI-HOP (YELL IN TKD) LOUD

Explain why we Ki-hop (yell) in Taekwondo?

    • The kihap helps concentrate energy, aiding powerful and precise movements during techniques.

  2. Breathing Control:

    • It facilitates proper breathing, crucial for stamina and technique execution.

  3. Psychological Aspect:

    • The kihap can intimidate opponents and boost the practitioner's confidence.

    • It fosters unity and discipline within the training environment, a tradition in martial arts.

  5. Expression of Effort:

    • It shows commitment and effort, signifying full engagement in the practice or competition.

  6. Pain Tolerance:

    • The kihap can aid in enduring pain or challenges during intense physical activities.
